About the Austin Ex-Apprentices Association

Since 1928
The purpose of the Association is to bring together Ex-Apprentices of the Austin car company in social and other activities in such a way that the Association shall be of mutual benefit to its members and to the Company.
PERSONS ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP
Any person who has been a corporate member of the Austin Apprentices' Association, or successor organisations, and who satisfies the requirements of either (a) or (b).
a) Those persons who have completed an indentured apprenticeship at the Longbridge Plant with the Austin Motor Company and/or its successors (to be referred to as the "Company" in these rules).
b) Those persons who have successfully completed a sponsored student scheme after January 1975 with the Company at Longbridge.
Those persons who have successfully completed an indentured Austin apprenticeship with the Austin Motor Company at any of its overseas divisions, as stated on their indentures.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
Honorary membership of the Association may be conferred upon any person who has rendered valuable service to the Association. The person would be proposed to the Committee and if unanimously approved by all members of the committee then the name would be submitted to members at a General Meeting for ratification.
